A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT:
The Lord woke me up in the middle of the night on March 25, 2020 around 5:30am and he began to speak to me about this pandemic the world is facing and wanted me to provide this encouraging word. He first told me to write down the word Corona and get its meaning. When I asked Siri on my IPhone she provided this definition of Corona; the word itself means crown and I thought okay Lord you are the only King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Then its definition said it was an aura of plasma that surrounds the sun. It can most easily be seen during a solar eclipse. I am going to provide a picture here so you can see what I saw when God was giving me the revelation about all of this and what our posture should be during this pandemic.
I looked at the picture and it looked like a person’s eye. It literally looked like God’s eye since it sits in the sky. Then God had me to look up the meaning of the word virus and the word means “ An infectious agent that typically is able to multiply only within the living cells of a host.. It further said that it was a harmful or corrupting influence. Now all this made me curious about the human anatomy of the eye. Did you know that one part of the human anatomy of the eye is called a cornea and the cornea is the clear front window of the eye that transmits and focuses light into the eye? I thought okay God.
I see and hear what you are saying to me and to the world and that is WE HAVE LOST FOCUS OF THE LIGHT. What light you ask; Jesus, the light of the world. With all our busyness and hurrying around we have lost our focus on the light of the world which is Jesus Christ. You see we to have a spiritual virus that we allowed to infect us. We allowed an infectious agent of sin, greed, the lust for money and power to infect us. We allowed the spiritual virus of all these things become a harmful and corrupting influence in our lives.
God said he needs us to get back in focus and so he has allowed this pandemic for everyone to press pause. He had to stop and refocus us. Yes, it is part of revealed scripture for the Lord told us in his word that these things would come. In Luke 21:11 it says “And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.” So everything we are seeing and experiencing with this COVID-19 is lining up with scripture. We as Christians and believers of Christ must continue to stay in prayer and in the presence of God because God said to me that we, the world have lost its focus.
Then God told me to tell you that now that He has your attention, he said now to go” FORWARD IN FAITH”. He then began to break down to me each letter in this phrase in what he wants us to do. He said to tell you:
F – Fix Your Faith In God: Hebrews 11:1 says “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Our faith is right and now and it needs to be a fixed faith, a settled faith in God no matter if its COVID-19 or anything else that is causing terror in the world today. Fix your faith on Jesus; Fix your faith on the word of God.
O- Operate in the Wisdom of God: Proverbs 4:7 says “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” We know that God will protect his children and that we are covered by the blood of Christ but God also want us to use wisdom. During this COVID-19 pandemic, if the government tells us to shelter in place then that it what we should do for it will save lives. It is wisdom not to go out to potentially expose you or your family members unnecessarily. So use wisdom and quarantine yourself and family and stay in the house.
R- Release Your Anointing to Serve in the Body of Christ: 1 John 2:27 says “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” The anointing abides in side of you and I and we have been anointed to serve. During the COVID-19 let us find someone we can serve. Let’s look for those in need who are less fortunate than us or weaker or older. Look for ways to be a blessing to someone. We are anointed to serve.
D- Deliver the Message of Christ: The word gospel means good news which is the message of forgiveness for sin through the atoning work of Jesus Christ. It is essentially God’s rescue plan of redemption for those who will trust his divine Son in order to be reconciled to a just and Holy God. What better time than right now to share this gospel, to share this good new of Jesus Christ message of forgiveness of sins. The bible says in Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Help somebody to choose life. Amen!
I – Initiate a Bible Study or Prayer Call: God wants us to use to this time in sheltering in place through COVID-19 to initiate a Bible Study, to initiate a Prayer Call. He wants us to re-focus our faith in study of the Word of God. Refocus our faith in prayer and worship. Psalm 119:105 says “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Launch a Bible Study with your family and neighbors via facetime or launch a Prayer Call with your friends, family and neighbors and watch God do something mighty and miraculous in the earth realm. Amen!
N – Navigate Through the Scriptures: Psalm 119:15-16 says” I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.” It is our duty to meditate on the scriptures and commit them to memory. God wants us to develop a plan to memorize scripture. He wants us to commit to a specific time of reading of the scriptures. He wants us to refocus our time spent with Him in reading the scriptures. Amen.
F- Fuel Your Faith In The Promises of God: Zephania 3:17 says “The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” As Christians and believers of Christ we can take joy in knowing that God is in the midst of us and will save us. We can fuel our faith in knowing this promise from God. We can also fuel our faith with 2 Thessalonians 3:3 says “But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.” So let us rest in the peace of God during this COVID-19, let us have faith over fear in knowing that the Lord is faithful and will keep us from evil. Amen.
A -Align Your Life With Christ: Romans 8:14 says “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” The Spirit will always lead us to the Cross and if we live our lives as Sons and Daughters of God then we have total victory in our lives. But if our sin nature is dominating our lives than we certainly cannot be living the life of Christ. Let us work on aligning our life, our walk, our talk, and our relationships with the spirit of the living God. Amen.
I – Inspire Others to Live For Christ: Romans 8:18 says “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” We must inspire others to live for Christ and through Christ. For no matter what we are facing in this world it cannot be compared to the glory which shall be revealed in us. My deceased Mother was the manager of gospel singing group that sung this very scripture and it said “If I suffer, suffer long, I know that Jesus will make me strong, but when I lay to my rest, I will be blessed.” Hallelujah! So during this COVID-19 inspire others to live for Christ not matter the situation or circumstance.
T- Testify to the Promises of God: Psalm 66:16 says “Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul. “ After all that God has done in and through our lives we ought to tell somebody. We ought to testify to the promises of God. The old saints use to sing a song that “I said I wasn’t going to tell nobody but I couldn’t keep it to myself.” Let us tell somebody that the promised of God are yes and amen. If God said it, that settles it. Amen.
H- Hope in the Help and Healing of God: Romans 12:12 says “ Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;” Let us rejoice in our hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us not waver in our faith but rejoice in our hope in Christ. For Jeremiah 29:11 tells us “ For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” So in lieu of COVID-19 know that in God we have an expected end.
